Re-organization and Redesign Website Research Group Project
Goal for the Redesign
The goal of this redesign is to address some of the problems we found during our information audit.
We wanted to rebuild the website around the target audience. We wanted to make sure important information was being represented while getting rid of the unnecessary clutter on the pages. While also keeping all the pages consistent so user’s would feel like the site is trustworthy.
The Process
The process starts with analyzing the website's contents using a content auditor. The result allows us to understand the website's Overall Responsiveness, SEO, Media Files, and Content Experience. After analyzing the data, the group fulfills our designer duties by providing the Brand’s style tiles, understanding the necessary information problems within the website and its subsequent pages, analyzing and rearranging the site map, setting up goals and user perspectives, and conducting various research methods like card sorting and user testing.
Design Principles
We used design principles like Usability and Simplicity, Accessibility and Inclusivity, Hierarchy and Focus, and Efficiency and User Control for redesigning the website. These principles help us narrow down the information that will help us make the prototype and wireframe.
